Haslett Street

This was an extensive renovation where the property was purchased with the intension of completing this work before the new owners moved in. The entire project took around 10 months to complete.

The house was orginally built in the early 1900’s. However the rear part of the house was an addition added at a later date and did not match the charater of this beautiful house. So this entire addition was removed, to allow room for a new open plan extension to be added.

All the joinery was replaced with new double glazed joinery. New insulation was installed throughout to assist with creating an old style house but very energy efficient.

The remaining orginal part of the house was first re-leveled, before the new extension was built. The new structure used a large steel portal to allow for high ceilings and an open plan kitchen and lounge area. Great attention to detail was required to create a seamless connection between old and new parts of the house.

The outside was enhanced with a large pergola, new deck and gardens. The end result was a beautiful house combining new and old feature’s, which owners are extremely happy with.
